Dr. Melanie Gentry is a graduate of the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine and completed training in Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry at Massachusetts General and McLean Hospitals. She is Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology and Chair of the Division of Outpatient Consultation. She also serves as the program director for the Mayo Clinic Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including outpatient, inpatient and long-term care. As a geriatric psychiatrist, she is passionate about the wellbeing of older adults with a focus on DEIA, ageism, late-life depression, neurocognitive disorders and the use of technology to reduce health disparities in the care of older adults.
