Omar Mirza is an academic consult-liaison psychiatrist based in New York City. He graduated from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a general psychiatry residency program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He then specialized with a fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry at Mount Sinai West/St. Luke’s Hospital. After fellowship, he joined the faculty of Mount Sinai Hospital as a transplant psychiatrist and led the proactive behavioral health team. During his time at Mount Sinai he served as the assistant fellowship director for the consultation-liaison psychiatry fellowship at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. He is now the director of consultation-liaison psychiatry at Harlem Hospital.
