Jenny Baumhauer received her MD through Michigan State University, subsequently completing her psychiatry residency at the University of Michigan. During her training she developed a strong interest in working with high-acuity patients as well as trainees of various levels, prompting her to remain in the hospital environment upon graduation. Dr. Baumhauer is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at Michigan Medicine, focusing her clinical work in psychiatric emergency services, adult inpatient psychiatry, and electroconvulsive therapy. Her research interests include interdisciplinary education, emergency psychiatry, and the history of psychiatry.
