Rusty Baik, MD is a Consultation-Liaison attending psychiatrist at the VA greater Los Angeles healthcare system. After completing his medical school and psychiatry residency education in Cincinnati, OH, he pursued fellowship training in CL psychiatry at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. He has a passion for improving mental health care to veterans with medical/surgical comorbidities and has been involved in implementation of a proactive CL psychiatry model. As a proud third generation descendent of immigrant educators, he has a strong interest in medical education and in his responsibility as a health sciences clinical instructor at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, he has worked with trainees ranging from fellows, residents and medical students.
