Dr. Opperman is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at CMU Medical Education Partners and Director of Interventional Psychiatry. Dr. Opperman completed his PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology in 2016 and his Medical Degree in 2018 both at Michigan State University. He is a 2022 Graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine Psychiatry Residency Program and was active in the clinical treatment of treatment resistant depression, both with TMS as well as with Electroconvulsive Therapy. He is active in supervision of psychiatry residents and in teaching of medical students outside of his outpatient clinical duties.
