I am a Nurse Practitioner with dual board certifications in Family Practice and Psychiatry. My clinical psychiatric practice includes consultation and liaison and emergency psychiatry. As a Family Nurse Practitioner I have provided primary care in an HIV clinic and served as a co-investigator on industry-sponsored infectious disease related Phase 2/3 trials and co-investigator on Phase 1 investigator-initiated HIV vaccine and immunology trials.
I have served as the Principal Investigator on a study that examines the motivations and perspectives of people living with HIV related to participation in HIV-related research, implementation of bioinformatics approaches to increase screening for HIV in all communities, regardless of appreciated risk, quantitative analyses of missed opportunities for HIV screening, and qualitative assessments of motivators for people living with HIV to participate in HIV vaccine development clinical trials.
