Melanie Simourd is originally from Canada. She graduated with distinction from Dalhousie University in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Sciences. Melanie is currently a fourth year medical student at St. George's University (SGU). She has previously done research with IVF treatment, specifically assessing the viability of using spectroscopy as a method to assess metabolites present in follicular fluid collected during IVF egg retrieval. She is interested in the field of Consult and Liaison Psychiatry with special interest in mood disorders and women's health. This will be her first time at the ACLP.
