Teresa Pan, PhD is a Staff Psychologist in Primary Care Mental Health Integration at the VA San Diego Healthcare System and Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Pan completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the San Francisco VA Health Care System and her pre-doctoral internship at the Palo Alto VA Health Care System. She obtained her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Kansas, with a specialization in health psychology, and her bachelor’s degrees in psychology and neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Pan is skilled in primary care mental health integration and behavioral medicine with specialized leadership experience in clinical operations and strategy as the VA San Diego’s Primary Care Mental Health Integration clinical team lead - tracking metrics, improving operations and procedures, developing team based trainings, and working collaboratively with stakeholders within a large healthcare system. Dr. Pan supervises clinical psychology interns and postdoctoral fellows in Primary Care Mental Health Integration and Behavioral Medicine at the VA San Diego and is a faculty member of the Psychosomatic Medicine Fellowship. Her specific interests also include quality improvement, measurement-based care, integration of clinical psychology into primary care systems, and development of interprofessional education tools for preceptors and learners.
