Dr. Shixie “Max” Jiang is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Florida. Originally from Quxian, China, he graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in biology and received his M.D. from the University of Central Florida. He completed his general psychiatry residency training at the University of South Florida and his fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at Stanford University. His research endeavors focus on the application of optical neuroimaging in neuropsychiatric disorders and neuromodulation techniques. Clinical interests include delirium, critical care psychiatry, depression in the medically ill, and transcranial magnetic stimulation.
