Senior Resident, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM& R) on his third year of post-specialization(3 years) in the field of Physiatry in India. He did his specialization in PM&R in King George’s Medical University, India which is one of the top government hospitals with a 50 bedded inpatient rehabilitation unit, OPD services averaging 50-100 patients a day, Gait Lab, Urodynamics Lab, Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy for pain interventions, operation theatre for deformity surgeries,Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy services, and the largest Prosthetics and Orthotics workshop in Northern India. He is presently working the All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS), Patna, one of the most prestigious and well equipped apex rehabilitation centres in India. He had his first encounter with rehabilitation medicine not as a medical student, but as a patient of right sided supraspinatus tendon partial tear suffered as an accidental sports injury while playing a cricket match in 2013. A violinist since his early school days, he could appear for and clear with Merit his grade 8 violin practical examination (ABRSM London) in four months’ time thanks to the efforts of the PM&R team at his medical school. He chose PM&R as his top choice after cracking the national postgraduate entrance exam and has worked in the field of PM&R since 2017, as a postgraduate resident first, and now as a Senior Resident.He now wishes to receive further training and pursue a career in PM&R in the US and looking for opportunities for US Clinical Experience in PM&R .
