Dr. Laura Borgelt has over 20 years of experience in interdisciplinary education, medicine, research, and professional service. She has been a successful faculty member for over 20 years at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus with an emphasis in women’s health and patient safety. During this time, Laura has actively participated on interprofessional teams to create improved patient outcomes and answer important questions about the delivery of healthcare. Her experience in administration, strategy, and operations has demonstrated a strong commitment to quality and team-based approaches in all aspects of her work.
Laura has extensive experience in her roles as a faculty member and leader. Laura’s communication experience spans more than 250 presentations to nearly 100,000 people in local, national, and international audiences in medicine, pharmacy, psychology, nursing, physical therapy, and public health. She has authored over 100 publications including peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and textbooks. Laura has taught approximately 4,000 students and mentored 100 faculty, residents, and students which resulted in significant professional growth, collaborative research projects, and numerous scholarship opportunities.
Laura received a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Iowa and a doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Colorado.
