Dr. Priyanka Amin is an attending psychiatrist at UPMC Western’s Psychiatric Emergency Services, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh, and Medical Director of Patient Safety for UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital. She received her MD from the University of Pittsburgh and completed psychiatry residency training at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital, participating in the Academic Administrator Clinician Educator (AACE) track and the Women’s Mental Health Area of Concentration and serving as the first Chief Resident of Well-Being. Dr. Amin is passionate about patient safety, quality improvement, and well-being, and her clinical interests include violence, trauma, and agitation. She works as an emergency psychiatrist.
