Kirsten Beyer is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Social Sciences at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She is a health geographer who studies structural and systemic causes of health inequity with a focus on social, racial and environmental justice in the United States and abroad. She partners with community organizations in much of her work. She directs the PhD program in Public and Community Health and Co-directs the Global Health Pathway for medical students and the Geospatial Epidemiology and Outcomes shared resource at MCW.
