Dr. Knight completed her undergraduate training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her medical training at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). She completed her residency training in a combined Internal Medicine and Psychiatry program at Rush University in Chicago, and is double board certified in both specialties. She also completed a post-doctoral research fellowship in psychoneuroimmunology at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Knightâs is a Federally funded researcher whose research interests involve investigating the physiologic and immunologic effects that account for the relationship between psychosocial factors and clinical outcomes in transplantation and cellular therapy (TCT) recipients. The purpose of her research is to investigate biological risk and pharmacologic interventions for social health disparities in cancer, specifically among TCT recipients Clinically, she is the Medical Director of the Psycho-Oncology Program at Froedtert and MCW and specializes in general and psycho-oncology psychosomatic medicine consultation. She is the Associate Director of the Wisconsin Institute for Neuroscience Clinical Neuroscience Research Center, Co-Chair of the MCW Biobehavioral Oncology Group and Chair of the Population Science and Behavioral Health Disease Oriented Team of the MCW Cancer Center. She is also a Clinical Member of the MCW Cancer Center in the Transplantation Biology and Immunotherapy Research Program and Co-PI of the NCI-funded Postdoctoral T32 Biobehavioral Oncology Training Program.
