Alice Ing graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Religious Studies with a Concentration in Bioethics. She went on to receive her M.A. in Bioethics and then her M.D. at Loma Linda University, an institution whose motto is "to make man whole." She completed her psychiatry residency training at the University of California Irvine and then returned to Yale to serve as an attending psychiatrist on the consultation-liaison service at the West Haven VA Medical Center. She returned to training and is currently a consultation-liaison fellow at the University of California San Diego. Her interests include clinical ethics, palliative care, and the integration of spirituality & mental health.
