Dr. Rachel LeMalefant is currently in her fourth year of training in the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt Psychiatry Residency program. Originally from Downingtown, Pennsylvania, she earned her bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of South Carolina in 2016, then earned her medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine in 2020. She is passionate about program development, quality improvement, and resident/physician wellness, last year serving as the residency program's wellness chair and continuing those efforts as executive chief resident at present. Rachel plans to pursue a Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry fellowship after residency, with specific interests in reproductive psychiatry and collaborative/integrated care.
