Assistant Professor of Psychiatry; Biostatistician

Dr. Palka is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Translational Neuroscience, at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She serves as biostatistician to the department as well as to the Psychiatry-Clinical Research Infrastructure, through which her work extends to other departmental and UTSW-affiliated research groups. Her expertise is in clinical and (quasi)experimental research design, and statistical analysis of clinical, neuroimaging, and biomarker data. Her substantive areas of focus include mood disorders, inflammation and asthma, and eating disorders - particularly as these relate to cognition, psychosocial functioning, and mental health outcomes across the lifespan.
