Dr. Adam Trenton was born and raised in NJ. He graduated from medical school at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008. He then completed his residency in Adult Psychiatry and his fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. After finishing at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2013, Dr. Trenton joined the faculty of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS). He is currently an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and the Interim Service Chief of the Division of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. Dr. Trenton has published a number of peer-reviewed articles, contributed to two book chapters, and been recognized with the Psychiatry Residency Program Teaching Award at RWJMS. In 2015, Dr. Trenton was the Gold Humanism Honor Society Faculty Inductee for RWJMS. He has presented at national conferences including the Academy of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry annual meeting.
