Cristina de Lasa, MD, CCFP (COE) is a Family Physician with a Certificate of Added Competence in Care of the Elderly. Cristina obtained a Bachelor of Medical Sciences from Western University, a Doctorate in Medicine at the University of Ottawa and Certification in Family Medicine at McMaster University. Cristina is a Hospitalist and Medical Head in the Division of Hospital Medicine at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. Cristina is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto. Cristina's clinical work focuses on working creatively within the existing healthcare system to provide comprehensive primary care to individuals with severe mental illness aiming for best possible health outcomes. She is pursuing a Master of HealthCare Quality and Safety at Harvard Medical School. Cristina’s interests include medical education, physician wellness and integrated care for individuals with severe mental illness.
