Shruti Tiwari, MD is the Director of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Department of Psychiatry at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York. She completed her Medical Degree at I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy. Dr. Tiwari went on to practicing Medicine in J.J. Hospital in Mumbai, India, after which she came to US to pursue residency in Psychiatry.
Dr. Tiwari completed Psychiatry Residency from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai- Elmhurst Hospital Center and went on to do her Fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry in 2017 from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is Board Certified in General Psychiatry and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
Dr. Tiwari has worked with the World Trade Center 9/11 survivors in the Federally funded WTC Program in NYC and also led the Collaborative Care Program while at Elmhurst Hospital Center before moving to Inpatient Consultation.
Currently Dr. Tiwari is leading the Inpatient C-L team at Maimonides Medical Center and works with the Residency Program to trains residents as well as medical students from SUNY Downstate and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine.
