Angel Li completed her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan and went on to obtain a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering, focusing on medical product development. Upon graduation, she worked as a technical solutions engineer at Epic Systems where she served as the technical lead for the Accountable Care Organization workgroup and led multiple company-wide quality improvement initiatives. She later served as a consultant for Epic, working with various hospital systems across the country to optimize their EHR and improve physician workflows. She is currently a 4th year medical student at the Medical College of Wisconsin where she continues utilizing her technical expertise to support quality improvement initiatives within Froedtert’s Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) clinics. She has done extensive work analyzing no-show rates and PHQ-9 trends to determine how IBH clinics can improve appointment adherence and achieve depression remission in patients. She hopes to dedicate her career to serving patients with comorbid medical and psychiatric conditions, understanding that integration is key to improving outcomes. She has a specific interest in cultural psychiatry and aims to collaborate with patients to create culturally-appropriate treatment plans.
