Alicia Livinski joined the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Library in 2007. At the NIH, she works with the Fogarty International Center (FIC), National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), public health dentistry fellows at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) in addition to other smaller groups working on global health, infectious diseases, cancer, animal, and clinical research. She is the lead for the NIH Library's evidence synthesis review service which provides consultation, instruction, searching, and other assistance to researchers to conduct quality scoping, systematic and other types of reviews. She also supports parts of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) specifically those providing public health and medical disaster and emergency planning, response, and mitigation, coordinating global health for HHS, and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA). She provides literature searching, training, manuscript support, reference, and special project assistance. Prior to joining NIH, Alicia worked for 5 years as the Information and Communications Advisor with the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood on international maternal health and advocacy programs.
