Zahid Syed is a second-year Psychiatry resident at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He studied political science at Georgetown University and completed his medical degree at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson. Throughout medical school, he delivered presentations to community organizations destigmatizing OUD and MOUD. He has work experience at an FQHC Suboxone clinic and health policy think tank. He is passionate about Addiction Medicine, community mental health, and systems approaches to healthcare and behavioral health. He hopes to maintain a clinical career helping patients directly, while also aspiring to impact broader change through entrepreneurship, public policy, and service initiatives.
