Jasmine Miller is a medical student at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. Previously as an undergraduate student at New York University, she worked as a student researcher with Dr.Wei conducting biochem in-vitro hybridization studies and in Dr.Cimpian’s lab conducting various studies on motivation in children. Jasmine completed her MPH at New York University with a Applied Practice Internship at the Foundation House. While participating in this internship, Jasmine created a restorative justice guidebook and abilities-inclusive newsletter for the members to learn from during the pandemic. As a medical student, she currently works with Dr. Njoroge to conduct research on the pandemic experience of pregnant mothers in Philadelphia, and with Dr.Lopez to analyze current Suboxone micro-induction protocol among Jefferson Hospital consult patients. She has been involved with JeffHope’s student clinic as a Kids Committee member, a member of the Urban Underserved in Medicine program, and the prior president of Jefferson’s Psychiatry Society. Jasmine is from Middletown, Delaware and enjoys fiction writing, running marathons, and improving her skills in ASL.
