Salman Abdul Majeed is a resident physician in the Psychiatry Residency Program at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. A Gates Millennium Scholar, Dr. Abdul Majeed's passion for community and global service guided his work before and during medical training, and he was recognized by Foreign Minister of Somaliland Edna Adan for his medical relief work in Hargeysa, Somaliland. He currently serves as medical advisor for the Prime Need Orphanage in Accra, Ghana and works with at-risk youth communities around the US. His clinical and research interests include child and adolescent psychiatry, family-based therapy, preventive and psychodynamic psychotherapy, and global health.
