Catherine Parker, M.D., is a third-year psychiatry resident at the University of North Carolina. As a member of the UNC Psychiatry Residency Program’s Research Track, Dr. Parker is investigating how an outpatient consultation model can improve access to quality psychiatric care. She completed her M.D. at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York, New York and holds an MPhil in European Literature and Culture from Cambridge University. She is a 2023-2024 recipient of the Pearsall Fellowship from the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas and the 2021 Recipient of the Barbara Liskin Memorial Award in Psychiatry. Her interests in psychiatry include psychodynamic psychotherapy, global mental health, and forensic psychiatry.
