Director Addiction Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry

Dr. Sidelnik works as the Director of the Addiction Consultation Service at NYU Langone Manhattan Campus. He completed his Adult Psychiatry training at Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital and completed fellowships in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry at NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Sidelnik has particular interests integrating substance use disorder treatment into medical settings, management of opioid use disorder in the hospital setting, harm reduction, and caring for people who injection drugs. He has a strong interest in medical education as is part of faculty of the NYU CL Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, and Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship Programs. He works regularly with residents and medical students and was receiving teaching awards for work in medical education. He strives to improve substance use disorder treatment at NYU Langone and helps in policy development, expanding access to evidence-based treatment, and collaborating with other services to improve the care of individuals with substance use disorders.
