Merlin Ariefdjohan, PhD, MPH is an Assistant Professor and the Director of the Psychiatry Research Innovations (PRI; a research support center) at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She holds a doctoral degree from Purdue University and an MPH from the Colorado School of Public Health, University of Colorado. She is passionate about ‘all things research’ having had direct roles as a research collaborator to training the next generation of researchers. Specifically, as a mixed-method research specialist, her area of interest includes immigrant/newcomer health, digital media and mental health, impact of long COVID on mental/physical health, increasing diversity in research workforce and research proficiency through training programs, evaluating lived experiences of caregiver and individuals with chronic illness to determine adequacy of support, among others.
