Dr. Lamothe is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the Division of Medical Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. He serves as the Medical Director of the Psychiatry Emergency Services. Dr. Lamothe’s clinical and scholarly interests include somatic symptom disorder and functional GI disorders, emotion-focused interventions and psychotherapy in for the medically ill, humanities, ethics and philosophy of medicine. He is also interested in medical education and the development of clinical skills in trainees.
