Dr. Honaker graduated medical school at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011. After completing 1 year of internal medicine she decided to go into psychiatry completing residency in 2016 from Grandview Medical Center. She is board certified in psychiatry.
Dr. Honaker started her career at the Veterans Administration and in 2019 joined Cleveland Clinic as a staff psychiatrist . She practices inpatient , outpatient and ECT. Dr. Honaker is faculty for the CCF residency program and enjoys teaching . Involved in research , she is part of several clinical trials .
She has strong interest in refractory psychosis , catatonia and severe mental illness.
Given her love for fitness and nutrition she has received extensive training in functional medicine and is a certified functional medicine practitioner .
She also has a sports psychiatry clinic at the Cleveland Clinic and works with college and professional athletes .
She has competed in numerous fitness competitions including the Arnold Classic where she placed 2nd in the figure division .
She has biked through Germany , Austria , and Switzerland numerous times .
She has 3 pugs with a passion for animals and is a strong supporter of pet therapy .
