Dr. Carrie Ernst is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Medical Education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. After receiving her MD from Weill Cornell Medical College, Dr. Ernst completed her psychiatry residency training at Cambridge Hospital/Harvard Medical School and went on to do a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Ernst is board certified in both General Adult Psychiatry and CL Psychiatry.
Dr. Ernst has focused her career on both clinical work in CL Psychiatry and medical education. Her clinical duties include attending on the general consultation psychiatry service at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Ernst currently teaches students at all levels of medical education, including medical students, residents and fellows. She is program director of the CL Psychiatry fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital, Director of Medical Student Education in Psychiatry, and Co-Chair of the Icahn School of Medicine's Admissions Committee.
