Dr. Bridget King is an Instructor of Psychiatry at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She attended medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine, and then completed psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel where she served as Chief Resident. She completed a fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry at Mount Sinai Hospital, during which time she received specialized training in reproductive psychiatry. She currently practices as the dedicated consultation-liaison psychiatrist to the obstetric inpatient units at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, and in the outpatient setting as a reproductive psychiatrist within the Columbia Women's Program. Her interests include psychopharmacological treatment in the perinatal period, increasing the awareness and eduction of perinatal mental health issues and treatments, and integrating mental health care into the inpatient obstetric setting.
