Dr. Wilson is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN and clinical Epidemiologist. She provides emergency psychiatry consultative services in both the Adult Emergency Room and the Psychiatry Assessment Service at the Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital. Dr. Wilson's research interests include studying delirium and catatonia in the critical care setting, long COVID and exploring mechanisms and therapeutics for Alzheimers Disease and Related Dementias. Dr. Wilson is a member of the Center for Critical Illness, Brain Dysfunction and Survivorship Center, The Center for Cognitive Medicine and the Vanderbilt Memory and Alzheimers Center. Dr. Wilson is also a physician scientist at the VA Geriatric Research, Education and Clinical Center (GRECC) at the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System in Nashville, TN. At the VA, Dr. Wilson co-Directs an Office of Rural Health funded project to expand access to emergent and urgent tele-mental health services for rural Veterans experiencing a mental health crisis. When not conducting research, Dr. Wilson enjoys mentoring students and junior faculty and providing research education at the medical school. Dr. Wilson is also passionate about ethics in research and protection of human research subjects through her role as the Chair of the Institutional Review Board, Health Sciences #1 committee at Vanderbilt.
