Dr Desan is the Director of the Psychiatric Consultation Service at Yale New Haven Hospital and Director of the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship at Yale School of Medicine. He is a member of the board of the Academy and the incoming Vice President. His research interests include new proactive models of psychiatric consultation in the inpatient setting and follow up of psychiatric consultation patients for outcomes such as suicide.
