Dr. Dhara Shah is an attending psychiatrist at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Spaulding Hospital Cambridge. She completed
her medical education at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. She then completed her adult psychiatry residency training at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL, during which she discovered her interest in consultation-liaison psychiatry. After many years in the southeastern US, she was excited to be closer to family and solidify her training in consultation-liaison psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA, from which she graduated in June 2023. Her interests include climate psychiatry, the psychiatry of infertility, and physician advocacy. In her spare time, she enjoys supporting and learning more about endangered species conservation and animal rescue, as well as spending time with family, friends, and her specially-abled senior dog, Preston.
