Diana M. Robinson MD is the associate medical director of the CL psychiatry service at Parkland Hospital and assistant professor of psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She has a passion for providing psychiatric care for acutely medically ill patients. She graduated from medical school at Texas A&M College of Medicine and adult psychiatry residency at the University of Virginia. She completed her CL fellowship at Harvard’s Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Since joining the faculty at UTSW in 2019, she has worked on the inpatient consult team with residents and medical students, started a psychiatric collaboration within the oncology clinic, and is a reproductive psychiatry consultant.
In addition to direct patient care, she is dedicated to improving patient care and education through engagement with psychiatry organizations. Since 2017 she has been serving as a member of the ACLP Annual Meeting Committee and has previously served on committees for the APA, ACLP, and Society for the Study of Psychiatry and Culture. Her research interests include the intersection of CL and addiction psychiatry, global mental health, and psychiatry trainee education. Dr. Robinson is the author of over 40 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.
