Claudia Rugama, M.D. is a graduate of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University in Camden, NJ. She is currently a second-year resident at the Zucker Hillside Hospital (ZHH) Psychiatry Residency Program in Queens, NY, and plans to pursue a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP). Her interests in psychiatry include first-episode psychosis, perinatal psychiatry, and CAP. Other interests include diversity recruitment, medical education, and mentorship. At Zucker Hillside Hospital, she has been involved in multiple aspects of diversity recruitment including serving as part of the admissions equity committee and leadership of ZHH's pathway program for rising 4th-year medical students who are underrepresented in psychiatry.
