Dr. Lauzon is currently a Health Sciences Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at UC San Diego School of Medicine, and a staff psychiatrist at the VA San Diego Healthcare System. She earned her medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. She completed a combined residency in psychiatry and family medicine at the University of California, San Diego. Her main areas of clinical practice and interest are general hospital consultation-liaison psychiatry, collaborative care, and perinatal mental health. Her scholarly work has principally focused on QI efforts to improve quality and access to care for vulnerable patient populations, such as: delirium prevention program for elderly inpatients, expanding access to OUD treatment on the CL service, violence prevention efforts in the general hospital, and improving outcomes for traumatic brain injury patients on the trauma service. She is passionate about psychiatric education and about making medicine more inclusive and equitable for physicians, trainees, and patients.
