I am currently a Clinical Psychologist and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. There, I serve as the director of the Behavioral Emergency Response Team and developed and co-direct the Behavioral Medicine Consultation-Liaison service. In addition to my inpatient work, I am also involved in outpatient clinical work at our Behavioral Medicine Center, Cancer Center, and provide psychological services to medical residents and fellows. In addition to my clinical work, I have served as a member representing Clinical Psychology on 14 Committees, Subcommittees, Work Groups, and Task Forces within the Health System and School of Medicine. I currently serve on the Society Board of Directors as the Section 8 (Association of Psychologists in Academic Health Centers, APAHC) Representative, as a co-chair of the Programming Committee for APA 2023, and as a member of the Mentorship Committee. I have served on the APAHC Board of Directors as Chair of the Social Media Committee as well as the Conference Planning Committee, Early Career Boot Camp Planning Committee, and the Education and Training Committee. I was also recently recognized with the 2022 Excellence in Clinical Health Psychology by an Early Career Professional Award from APA Division 38, the Society for Health Psychology.
