As a clinical psychologist, I am interested in providing high quality evidence based care which will also guide research hypotheses and enable training opportunities vital to the forward trajectory of the field of psychology. I strongly believe that integrating a number of areas in psychology and psychiatry, at multiples levels of analysis, will be necessary to improve our understanding of underlying mechanisms and promote development of novel, more effective, therapeutic interventions for individuals that struggle with mental illnesses. I am active in a number of ongoing research projects including topics such as metacognition and negative symptoms in patients with schizophrenia, program development in integrating behavioral health into primary care, and social justice.
