Dr. Rebekah Nash is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill. Her research seeks to leverage genomic data and build clinical registries to improve our understanding of risk factors and etiology of psychiatric disorders during and following solid organ transplantation. Her long-term goal is to improve the care of patients awaiting, and then living with, a solid organ transplant. She supervises residents in an outpatient consultation-liaison continuity clinic providing psychiatric care for the severely medically ill. As a liaison to the transplant teams at UNC Hospitals, she serves on the kidney, liver, heart, and lung transplant selection committees and teaches providers how to care for patients whose mental health is impacting their medical care. She is also one of the attending psychiatrists on the consultation-liaison psychiatry service, where she supervises and teaches psychiatry residents, CL psychiatry fellows, medical students, and residents from other specialties.
