Ph.D. Candidate
UNC-Chapel Hill
Chapel Hill, North Carolina
I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Biostatistics in the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am co-advised by Dr. Michael R. Kosorok in the Department of Biostatistics and Dr. Jeremy E. Purvis in the Department of Genetics in the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Medicine. I am broadly interested in using and developing statistically-sound machine learning methods for precision medicine. My research includes areas such as manifold learning for single-cell primary tumor data and reinforcement learning for learning dynamic treatment regimes for patients. I also work as a statistical consultant in the UNC-Chapel Hill Translation and Clinical Sciences Institute (NC TraCS) where I offer statistical guidance for medical researchers.
