Samantha A. Wong is a first-year medical student pursuing a career in psychiatry. Her research interests include working to understand how early life stress and adversity are encoded biologically and can predispose disorder later in life. In the future, she hopes to help individuals struggling with psychiatric disorders while working towards developing preventative measures targeting critical risk factors such as early life stress. She wants to continue to study the biological basis of psychiatric disease, search for endophenotypes, and translate neuroscientific findings into the clinic.
