Dr. Okrainec completed medical school at McGill University and residency in General Surgery at McMaster University. He went on to complete a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at McGill University. Dr. Okrainec also completed a Master’s Degree in Health Professions Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery, at the University of Toronto. He is currently the Surgical Lead for Planning and Infrastructure at UHN and the Surgical Director of the Temerty Advanced Surgical Education and Simulation Centre in the Michener Institute of Education at UHN.
