Dr. Jackson is general surgeon at University Health Network in Toronto. He completed his medical school and general surgery residency at McMaster University. He received a Master of Public Health from Harvard University and is a graduate of the Harvard Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery Fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. His clinical focus is in bariatric and gastrointestinal tract surgery. Dr. Jackson’s research interests are focused in surgical quality improvement and minimally invasive surgery. At UHN, he is the Medical Director of the Operating Rooms at Toronto Western Hospital and holds the Medtronic Chair in Minimally Invasive Surgery. At the University of Toronto, he is an Associate Professor of Surgery and the program director for the University of Toronto Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship Program.
