Dr. Jasnit Makkar is an academic radiologist and Program Director of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Since joining CUIMC in 2016, he has been highly regarded for his expertise in abdominal imaging and his commitment to patient care. Dr. Makkar has published numerous peer-reviewed article and has had the opportunity to present at National and local conferences. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Makkar is dedicated to medical education and mentorship. As Program Director of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency, he is committed to training the next generation of radiologists and ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality patient care. Dr. Makkar is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Radiological Society of North America and the American College of Radiology.
