Sheau-Yan Ho, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in Medical Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) and licensed clinical health psychologist. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology and premedical studies at Boston College and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Vermont. She completed her pre-doctoral internship in clinical health psychology at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System (West Haven) and a post-doctoral fellowship in behavioral medicine at the VA New Jersey Health Care System (East Orange). She has developed specialities in health psychology, trauma, grief, mood and anxiety disorders, and women’s reproductive mental health. At CUIMC, Dr. Ho provides direct clinical services to patients and their family members in the medical intensive care unit and during the post-ICU course. She is actively involved in supporting physician well-being and providing psychological first aid to healthcare professionals.
