Dr. Ashwini Nadkarni MD is an Instructor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Associate Medical Director of Brigham Psychiatric Specialties and Associate Vice Chair of Wellness in the Department of Psychiatry. She is an active clinician and researcher with interests in Inflammatory Bowel Disease treatments, integrative care psychiatry and occupational burnout and in 2022, won the Brigham Professionalism Award for her contributions in these areas. Dr. Nadkarni has a national reputation for her expertise in brain-gut health and healthcare worker burnout and has published in the Lancet, JAMA and the National Academy of Medicine. She was featured as an expert commentator in the documentary film “The Observed Life,” is regularly quoted in the Wallstreet Journal, Forbes, the Washington Post and US News and World Report and is a member of the advisory board for Forbes Health. Dr. Nadkarni obtained her BSc from McGill University and her MD from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University.
