Anna (Nina) Muriel is an adult, adolescent and child psychiatrist in the Department of Psychosocial Oncology and Palliative Care at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Her work has focused on the delivery of psycho-oncology services and psychopharmacology in Pediatric Oncology, and the intersection between Psychiatry and Palliative Care. She is interested in the impact of illness on the family in both pediatric and adult oncology. She participated in the development of the National Standards of Psychosocial Care for Children with Cancer, co-authored the book “Raising an Emotionally Heathy Child when a Parent is Ill” and co-edited “Pediatric Psychosocial Oncology: Textbook for Multidisciplinary Care.” She is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
