I, Dr Arpita Goswami Banerjee, is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychiatry and Consultant in Transplant Psychiatry at Penn Transplant Institute, University of Pennsylvania.
I completed my medical school training and received MBBS degree, from India . Following that I did Psychiatry Residency at Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, and fellowship in Consultation and Liaison Psychiatry from University of Pennsylvania.
I currently specialize in pre-transplant psychiatric assessment and post transplant care to all solid organ recipients. My area of interest also includes psychiatric assessment of liver and kidney living donors and provide follow up psychiatric care, if needed, post donation. I am actively involved in providing post-transplant care and follow up of patients with acute alcoholic hepatitis and alcohol induced liver failure.
